Aston Martin is to announce on Tuesday that the previous boss Andy Palmer will be replaced by the Mercedes-AMG boss Tobias Moers.
Tobias Moers has been head of AMG since 2013. At AMG, he ensured that, in addition to the outstanding longitudinal dynamics, more attention was paid to the lateral dynamics. Daimler also holds a 5% stake in Aston Martin and, in addition to the AMG 4.0 liter V8 BiTurbo, also supplies NTG5.5 telematics to Aston Martin.
Daimler board member Ola Källenius has recently announced enormous growth plans for AMG. For example, the number of high-yield models should be on a Porsche level (250,000 vehicles a year). Electric cars and plug-in hybrids should play a major role here.
